History
Founded in 1984 as Sangoma Technologies, the company quickly earned a reputation for leadership with its robust data communications products based on the PC platform.
In May 2000, through a reverse takeover, Sangoma Technologies became a publicly traded company on the Toronto Venture Exchange (TSXV:STC).
Since its entry into the voice market in 2005, the company has grown rapidly, more than doubling in size. In fact, the quality of Sangoma hardware was instrumental making Asterisk®, the popular open source telephony engine and tool kit, reliable enough for enterprise implementations.
